Opening YG heads

Post  InebriatedGnome on Fri Apr 17, 2015 10:09 pm

Hey all,

A couple of Young Gohsts arrived in the mail today What a Face
The head-caps seem to be on pretty tightly and I'm pretty unlikely to find more of these particular ones for a very long time, so I'm worried about damaging them. How did you get your headcaps on? Are caps on the SDCC 2014 YGs even meant to be removed?

Edit: After much heating and pulling, I've done it. Getting the caps back on was worse than pulling them off.

This must be what performing surgery is like.

Blow dryer works well on those too.

Oh, cool stuff. I've never owned sofubi before and didn't know if it would play nice with heat. I'll just whip out the blowdryer, then Very Happy Thank you both!

Appealing as the manhandling route is, I'd rather not. The site I bought these from had only one of each, and as far as I know there are only ~60 marbled blue Gohsts and 10 Gohst-Face Killas on planet Earth right now.

No luck. I'm actually worried about damaging the little guy. The sofubi also feels kind of slippery on the surface when heated, which is has me mildly apprehensive.
