I'm pretty stoked to go see District 9. I just got done watching Death Trance. It's a movie from the guys who did Versus. I really liked it. The fight scenes were cool. They became even cooler after I watched the making of from the extra features. They really hit each other!!!!! No pulling punches. That's pretty badass!

I've seen both. District 9, for the most part, was a bad attempt at a mockumentary with some not subtle at all racial overtones. There was some great gore in parts though.

As far as Inglorious, I'm a huge fan of the Tarantino movies, and this is somewhere in my top 3. BTW not sure how to rank my top 3. so I don't have a 1, 2 or 3, just a top 3.

I thought District 9 was great. The documentary-style portions were only at the beginning and the end. There were some plot holes that bugged me, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Enough to see it twice, and that is the first time I've done that since "Big Fish."

Really.... why?
Its a movie that even the director says the story makes little to no sense. I was incredibly surprised when they made a "directors" cut of it and even more shocked that they made a sequel...

Sure its kinda creepy and has some weird imagery, but honestly The Cell exists as proof that a few cool images does not a good movie make.

I watched the Director's Cut and read some info on the site and I must say the story is complicated but it have a sense and it's not that hard to understand
But that's not why I like it... It simpy have some appeal to me. More to the psychological side than the all time travel stuff
I think the only flaw is that the story is hard to understand. Not impossible but hard

Don't get me wrong. I own the movie and have since I was in high school. I have watched it dozens of times back in the day mainly because of the cool time travel pseudo-science, multiple world theory and who doesn't love a giant demonic bunny with a bullet hole through his eye?

The main problem with the movie is that the story is nearly impossible to understand unless you already know the story from another source.

But whatever, like whatever you want to like Smile

Cellar Door.

Yes, I know. It's a problem and the main complain. You only understand it well if you already searched around for explanations, but hey, Kubrick's 2001 requires you to read the book to understand and the director said that this was the objective. Make people go after explanations. And still, is a extremely overated movie and consired the best movie of all time by many, so I guess that is not such a big flaw after all lol!

I thought Donnie Darko was great. I haven't read up too much on other people's explanations, but I came to my own conclusions, which is what I generally try to do. Nonetheless, other people's interpretations and additional source information can enhance the experience, I suppose. I knew nothing of a sequel, though! When did it come out? A sequel makes no sense to me, whatsoever. Crazy.
